Pet of the Month for May 2020

Eileen is a very special girl who puts a bright smile on everyone’s face when she walks into the room!  Eileen is Diabetic and is on insulin to help regulate her blood sugar. It is very important to keep up with a diabetic patient’s blood glucose levels at least once a year to ensure that they are taking the proper dosage of insulin. A little known fact about Eileen is that she is an amazing therapy dog. Eileen loves to spend her days at her favorite retirement home making friends and spreading her joy around! Her dad says going to the retirement home is the highlight of her day and she is quite the social butterfly! In her free time, Eileen enjoys going camping and hanging out with her neighborhood dog crew. Eileen is the sweetest girl and continues to be a ray of sunshine to us and her community!

Pet of the Month for April 2020

Callie is a longtime patient of ours and is nothing but the sweetest! Callie came to us to have her mouth thoroughly examined due to stomatitis. Stomatitis causes inflammation of the entire mouth causing difficulty eating, excess salivation and weight loss. Stomatitis can be quite bothersome for cats and it is important to keep up with regular teeth cleaning. Sweet Callie was having a hard time eating her food so her mom brought her in for Dr. Wunderlich to take a look at her. Callie was given an injection to help control the pain and inflammation. We scheduled Callie for a dental cleaning and all went well! Callie’s parents do a great keeping up with her oral health!
